Music & Movement — pre-ballet — is for children from two and a half. It is the class for the youngest dancers, and their first real meeting with movement and music.
Children learn rhythm, movement and melody. They develop a sense of space, time and rhythm, and build skills of the body, such as stamina, and of the mind, such as expression and creativity. Through movement they learn to express their feelings and thoughts.
All of this prepares the body for the more technical dance classes to come, always using the terminology of classical dance, so that the move into the magical world of ballet comes naturally. It happens in a happy, creative setting, full of inspiration and imagination — just what this age needs.
